Sergey joined KLR (Cunningham Lindsey Russia) in 2010. His responsibility is coordinating the work of the departments as well as legal issues and business development.
Sergey’s experience includes, in particular, participation in the settlement of such major losses as damage to the reconstructed Chagino substation, losses of profits and property damages related to breakdowns of power plant turbines and transformers, losses suffered by metallurgical and petrochemical enterprises and producers of ammonia and mineral fertilizers, construction and packing materials in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, CAR/EAR losses that occurred during construction of the South Stream, various infrastructures of Sochi and the Western High-Speed Diameter in St. Petersburg.
Sergey's narrow specialization is trade credit, civil and D&O liability insurance issues. He coordinates the work of financial and technical experts to settle various contractual disputes, including those being settled in international arbitration courts (ICAC, LCIA, ICC) and dispute resolution commissions (FIDIC).
Sergey has been specializing in insurance law matters for over 10 years. Sergey has analyzed the legal aspects of all major insurance losses settled by the Company and Sergey has successfully represented the clients’ interests in numerous insurance disputes and in enforcement of the right to subrogation.
Sergey graduated from the Law Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Before joining Cunningham Lindsey Russia (presently – KLR) Sergey specialized in arbitral practice in a Russian law firm.
Sergey is fluent in English.
